Captain Connor (キャプテン・コナー Kyaputen Konā) is the 49th chapter of Hiro Mashima's Edens Zero.

While on their journey to Sun Jewel, the crew finds a school of fish from the Aoi Cosmos, even stranger they find a man floating in space!

Summary

On the Edens Zero, the crew has a meeting about their trip to Sun Jewel. Witch informs them that it will take three days to get there as they will fly around a field of space debris. Weisz asks why they don't just use fast travel, to which Sister answers that it only works to places they've been to at least once before. This prompts Rebecca to ask about the ship already going out of the cosmos, but Hermit explains that their list of fast travel locations outside of the Sakura Cosmos was erased and that they don't know why. Shiki thinks Ziggy did it to make them go through their own adventure. Suddenly, a school of space fish swims around the ship, Witch concludes that they must be from the Aoi Cosmos. They soon see someone floating among the fish and turn on the audio channel to hear him call for help. Shortly after bringing him into the ship, the man thanks them and introduces himself as Connor, captain of a ship. He tells them his ship had a horrific accident, being the captain he manned the wheel and didn't let go, finding himself in an unfamiliar sector of space. His stomach grumbles and they let him eat in their Edens Kitchen, telling him that he's in the Sakura Cosmos while he informs them that he hails from the Aoi Cosmos. Connor asks to talk to the ship's captain but is shocked to hear that Shiki's the captain. He offers to be the ship's new captain, but they decline.

Shiki lets him stay onboard until they reach their destination. In the Spa of Eden, Rebecca, Happy, and Homura discuss Connor and the Aoi Cosmos when the man speaks from behind them that the Aoi Cosmos is home to many beautiful planets and women. Rebecca kicks him out when he thinks the spa is a mixed bath. During the course of his stay, the crew is annoyed by his antics, such as using the Dress Factory without their permission, trying to push Mosco's button, and teaching Pino inappropriate language. Though, he oddly makes good friends with Shiki. The crew has a meeting about Connor for these things when an alarm rings about an intruder in the control room. They reach the control room and find Connor. He tells them how they told him it would take three days to get to Sun Jewel, but states he can take them there in just one and has already done so. Everyone is surprised and asks how, to which he responds that their ship has magnificent abilities, and with him then he can make it perform better. Hermit notes how impossible it is even at maximum speed, but Connor answers that he took a shortcut, and she realizes he took them through the debris field. The crew is amazed. Before Connor goes to take a nap Witch asks who he his, but he simply states that he's the captain. Connor thinks to himself of whether its a coincidence or destiny and that he's the captain of a ship called Edens One.
