Prelude to the Aoi War (葵(アオイ)大戦の序曲 Aoi Taisen no Jokyoku) is the 138th chapter of Hiro Mashima's Edens Zero.

The Crew of Edens and Oasis finish dealing with the imperial army. Meanwhile, Shura gets uninvited guests at Nero 66.

Summary

Shiki's group and Oasis fight off the soldiers in the marketplace. Laguna notices the air force arriving, which Shiki goes up to deal with them and they are sent away by Laguna's water. An airship arrives but Goodwin grapples it and flings it away. An Oasis member informs Goodwin that there are reinforcements in the west side, where no one there can fight and that it is too far. Pino gets a call from Hermit, who tells them that they already cleared thing there. Goodwin hears the mention of Edens Zero and realizes that they were the ones who beat Drakken, Laguna tells him that if he teams up with them then he can beat Nero.

One soldier calls for a retreat, but the boy soldier stand his ground, only to be beaten and captured. One of the soldiers that the empire does not bargain for prisoners, saying their useless to them. Ibaraki tells them that they will not kill them and that they will free them after the war is over. Goodwin arrives and asks how many were killed on their side, which one imperial soldier retorts that people were killed on their side as well. Goodwin says that he is right, he gives a speech how there are no good guys or bad guys in war, saying that he hates the Nero Empire, but that he does not hate them. He offers them drinks when the war is over, maybe even watch some B-Cube concerts together.

On Nero 66, Shura and the Oceans are having a pool party while waiting for the high tide. Ijuna informs Shura that he has uninvited guests. Meanwhile, out in space an armada led by Eraser surrounds the planet. Hearing that the government army is here, Shura smiles, saying that this will be the perfect way to kill some time.
