The People of Digitalis (デジタリスの民 Dejitarisu no Tami) is the 31st chapter of Hiro Mashima's Edens Zero.

The group meets up with each other at Digitalis, surprising each other with their avatars and setting the rules of what they can't do here. They head to the nearby town, Drimille, but find no signs of Hermit and rests for the night. Meanwhile, a player arrives at an inn and claims he a chosen player that won't get banned from killing an NPC.

Summary

The narrator of the story, Xiaomei, introduces herself and explains that Shiki and his friends embarked on a journey to assemble the Four Shining Stars and restore the true power of Edens Zero. They had found Witch, Sister, and Hermit, however as Hermit's heart is damaged, they dove into the virtual world Digitalis to rescue her heart. Before leaving, Xiaomei apologizes that the upcoming story is sadistic.

Rebecca wonders who is that person in front of her. The man reveals he is an exiled prince leading a battle to restore his motherland, but then accidentally reveals he is Homura and this is the backstory she made for her avatar. Since there was an option for a male avatar, she decided to do it and wanted a "white horse" mount, but instead got this purple creature mount. A woman then appears revealing it's actually Weisz, who decided to make a female avatar as that was an option. Pino shows up in a young human girl avatar and they find her cute. Shiki also appears in a speedo and large muscle body, stating he couldn't decide on his avatar and went in his usual look but a bit stronger. As that shocks Rebecca, she yells at him to make a new one and Shiki chooses his old look from Granbell, which makes him remember the bots there and cries. Rebecca explains they have no HUD, but tells Weisz to not alter the planet's data as they may get banned.

The group heads into the nearby town, Drimille. There, they are welcomed by an NPC, who explains that players had increased lately and the NPCs are doing more than their original programming and how he used to say only one line. Seeing how realistic the NPC acts, the group realizes they may have trouble distinguishing NPC from a player and need to be careful as some may not have good intentions. The group spends the day asking around the town if someone knows Hermit, but the only thing they learn is that she may be in the town to the north.

A man appears at a travelers inn and threatens the NPC to tell him where the new woman is and explaining that he is a chosen player and can kill an NPC and still won't be banned.
