Personality
Synopsis
Sun Jewel arc
At Kurenai's Tower in Gold Palace, Ward introduced Cedric, a model from planet Genos, to Madame Kurenai. He explains that Cedric's homeworld is known for gentlemen who are pleasing to the eye and believes that the young man will be the perfect attendant for the Crimson Lady.[1]
Ward further explains that in addition to being a model, Cedric is also a certified butler, and asks Kurenai if she approves of him only for her to disapprove instead.[2]
Shaking his head, Ward sighs in disappointment after Kurenai sadistically burned Cedric's face with her gauntlet as punishment when he accidentally touched her face. He reminds the Crimson Lady that Cedric was the final candidate but she brushes it off and orders him to find more, expecting a better selection this time. Ward simply complies in resignation.[3]
Changing the subject, Kurenai asks Ward if he heard about Edens Zero which he is not sure about, despite traveling to many planets. Ward learns from his boss that Drakken Joe is after the ship and she explains that the Edens Zero is equipped with an Ether Drive, shocking him.[4]
Ward stated that it would take 10 years to mine enough metal to match the value of one of the Ether Drives which Kurenai agrees. He asks about the share in this enterprise with the Dark Alchemist which the Crimson Lady replied that it's 30% but intends to outwit him, only interested in 100% of the share.[5]
Ward is ordered to get the Kurenai Dragoon, but he informs Kurenai that it isn't finished yet, still needing time to debug it. However, he is told to still do so, so long as it can move.[6]
Later on at Kurenai's Tower, Ward is knocked out unconscious by Nino who switched sides to the rebels and shut down all of the Punishers, freeing Sun Jewel from Kurenai's tyranny.[7]
